The history of YOWZA (sometimes spelt YOWSAH) goes back to the birth of jazz in the USA in the 1920s. It was reincarnated by Chic in the song Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah) in the 1970s. It means good, great, wonderful, YOWZA!!(download chic clip)

It was used by John Brocks (aka Broxy) a former DJ at Maidstone and Mid Kent's CTR 105.6fm, It was then used by Mike Russell (Uk Capital Life / Talk Sport). It has since been used all around the county town.

It so well known it is even featured in Urban Dictionary.Com. It has now been said on the BBC - Click Here for Steve Coogan

The aim of this site is to bring the world of
